Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church

The variety of cultural influence on architecture is wide. By the Pond Eddy bridge on Rte 97 make a right onto Route 41 (High Road) within a mile or so you will spot the unique architecture of Glen Spey. There is a growing Ukrainian community in Glen Spey and set just a short distance apart are two churches of the most beautiful examples of Eastern European architecture.

Each has its own distinctive style, but they are equally beautiful and majestic. Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church and St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Catholic Church. People of both Glen Spey churches have lived and worked together in harmony for many years. Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church is built with the gold-topped domed steeples that are traditional in this Ukrainian style of church. Devotion is abundantly evident in the meticulous work that went into every brick fashioning this place of worship. Sts. Peter and Paul was built in 1972.

Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church at 329 High Road (County Route 41) in Glen Spey, New York is under the authority of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA.
