Champian Fulton: Jazz Pianist/ Vocalist with Mainstream Jazz Tradition - White Mills, PA

Champian was a huge hit with the audience as the pianist/vocalist at our Cab Calloway Orchestra concert singing and playing jazz songs in the tradition of Dinah Washington, Sarah Vaughan, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Erroll Garner. She captivates audiences with her amazing skills at the piano and her lyrical renditions of classics. She has a sweet, infectious smile and a bouncy rhythmic style at the piano. Her fingers go a mile-a-minute and she never sits still as she exudes the embodiment of early jazz. Her album Champian Sings and Swings was selected as one of the Top 10 Jazz Albums for 2013 by the New York Observer. She and her trio have performed at many popular NY clubs including Small’s Jazz Club and The Café Carlyle, plus Shanghai Jazz in New Jersey. Champian also had a two-year residency at the famed NY jazz club Birdland. She has performed at jazz festivals across the US, including Jazz at Lincoln Center, Detroit Jazz Festival, The Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, as well as international festivals in Canada, Germany, Sweden, Israel, Spain, and more.
