Corbett Roebling Suspension Bridge - Downsville, NY

Steel, one lane bridge, based on the same Roebling's design principles as the famous Brooklyn Bridge, the single span built in 1926 crosses the East Branch of the Delaware River south of Downsville, 3 miles. Connects Route 30 with River Road, passes the historic Acid Factory Chimney Park in Corbett.

As a preteen my uncle would take me fly fishing in shinhopple in the 1960 's . The memory's of that stretch of that river and bridge will never leave me until I leave this world.
