Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area Headquarters - Bushkill, PA

Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area Headquarters is located along River Road in Bushkill, Pennsylvania. The building was originally built for the purpose of being a visitor center that would have overlooked a proposed reservoir. However, the dam on the Delaware River that would have created the reservoir was never built. Instead, today, headquarters houses offices and also provides visitor information and various other amenities as listed below. The nearby McDade trail has a boardwalk that crosses a wetlands area. This boardwalk was the last section of the trail to be built, and allows for the migration of various amphibians under it during mating season.

Amenities available:

Park information, NPS passport cancellation, America the Beautiful and park passes, restrooms, drinking water, wildlife viewing platforms, McDade Recreational Trail access.
