For one weekend in Easton, it will be OK to stink. It's actually encouraged.
Garlic, in all its reeking and beautiful forms, takes center stage the first weekend in October.
The Easton Garlic Festival promises to be a weekend full of odoriferous and delicious foods, chef demonstrations and great music.
Always a favorite, the Mayor's Cook-Off determines which city reigns supreme with the best garlicky dish. You also can vote for your favorite stinkin' bulb at the Garlic Growers Contest, and can help judge the best garlic dish from local restaurants.
Chef demonstrations and contests, including the Dangerous Desserts People's Choice Contest round out the two-day event. Both days will feature an expanded Stinkin' Beer Tent at Northampton Street near Second. The festival also features great music from local bands.
