Feels Like Home

Located in the heart of Newton's historical downtown, Feels Like Home is a local store combining the best of New Jersey antiquing, home decor, American made products, Sweet Grass Farms personal products, fine Harney and Sons tea, and --- new and vintage Lionel Trains! A fun visit for all the family.

The store started by selling decorative tin ceilings in the 1870's ---our ceiling was the "sample" display. Patterns change from front to back. But, don't spend all your time looking up. There are wonderful fine pieces of early American furniture, decorative items, collectables and just plain fun stuff all around. Please be sure to check out our selection of  "Penny a View" books by county historian Wayne McCabe. These great collections of local postcard views show Sussex County as it was 100+ years ago.  We also are stocking "Remember the Sussex Branch of the Lackawanna Railroad" by Dave Rutan --wonderful local railroad history!

We are particularly proud to be the local Lionel Train Store. We always have a fine selection of new as well as vintage Lionel Trains. We carry most popular brands of three rail 0 gauge trains --- and we love to talk about them. But, if you want, pick out a comfortable chair to sit a while, we also love to talk about antiques, local history and "the good old days."
