Hobo Chic, Curious Goods - Delaware Water Gap, PA

Hobo Chic puts an au courant spin on conventional antiquing and orthodox rummaging.

Antiques and vintage wares are not just... for your lovely Grandmother’s home anymore. They are for the curious teen’s bedroom, the hipster’s dorm, the man’s cave, the crafter’s nook…
Whether you are plumping the collection, erecting a new, or just embellishing your modern home with shades of the old, you will find something you’ve never seen before or at least something you haven’t seen in decades.

Vintage goods are not alone, just as we can not have Hobo without the Chic, we can not have the old without the new. Current clothing hangs amongst the antiquities… “Like what?” you may ask, well, you will just have to come in and see.

Hobo Chic is set at the heart of Main Street in a 100 year old carriage house. If you are in no mood to shop, at least stop in to admire the historic qualities of the building, who knows, you may find something you can not live without.

History of the History

Ivory Moore is the proprietor of Hobo Chic and to dub it a labor of love would be oh so very cliché but oh so very apropos. For her boyfriend, whom she loves very much, is a little bit Hobo and a little bit Chic, and had a collection of collections far too large for two. So, an inventory was born!! Thirty years worth of her domestic partner’s hoarding is for sale!!

But really, it’s not all his fault. Their “real” jobs require hours upon hours upon hours of driving for miles and miles and miles up and down and back and forth across the County’s side. And on their gypsy ventures, to mix a little pleasure with business, plisness or bleasure, what have you, they go rummaging, hunting and, yep, you guessed it, collecting! Sometimes their Chic station wagon comes home looking awfully Hobo as the back is brimming with treasure and the roof is strapped with goods.
They aim for the unusual and unusual, on the Main Street, in the Delaware Water Gap, you shall find.
