Hotel Fauchere/Relais & Chateaux - Milford, PA

The Hotel Fauchere is an historic 16-guest-room boutique full-service hotel, with three food and beverage options:  the elegant Delmonico Room for classic fine dining, the bistro-style Bar Louis, with innovative world cuisine, and the Patisserie Fauchere Cafe, with fine baked goods, desserts, soup and sandwiches. The hotel complex also includes the Badea & Soul Day Spa and the Fauchere Meeting Center, a purpose-built corporate meeting facility.

Founded in 1852 by famed Delmonico's Chef Louis Fauchere, the Hotel Fauchere was operated for 124 years--until 1976--by the Fauchere family.  After a 30-year closure, it was meticulously restored and reopened in 2006 with all the historic charm updated with modern amenities. A member of Relais & Chateaux, the Fauchere is known for its fine cuisine, supported by the hotel's organic farm, foraging and many local purveyors.

The hotel is located in the center of the historic 19th-century Pike County seat of Milford, Pennsylvania, just 75 miles from New York City.  Three-quarters of Milford comprises a National Historic District and the hotel itself is individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Milford is the north gate to the 70,000 acre Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and the home of Grey Towers National Historic Site.
