Kenoza Lake Fire Department's Annual Chicken BBQ

Visit the Kenoza Lake Fire Department's annual Chicken Barbeque event. This event has traditionally been held the third Saturday in July from 4-7 pm. Thanks to a secret BBQ sauce that the chickens are basted with, and then slowly cooked over charcoal for many hours, the chickens are notably delicious. The fire department has a dedicated BBQ Pit area where they cook the chickens. The Pit is named after Jesse Brown, a deceased community member who served as a volunteer firefighter and fire commissioner for many years. This summer event draws hundreds of diners. It is a "don't miss it" summer time activity.
