Kittatinny Valley State Park Group Campground

The Kittatinny Valley State Park Group Campground consists of three group campsites containing picnic tables, grill, fire ring, lantern hook, and composting toilets which overlook scenic Twin Lakes.

Rules and Regulations

If a camper arrives during office hours, he or she must check in at the main office. If the campers arrive after office hours, they must check in the next morning.

Alcoholic Beverages are not permitted in any New Jersey State Park Service Area.

Pets are also not permitted in any camping facilities.

Note, Black bears are present in New Jersey. During your stay at the park, all coolers and food-related items must be stored in the trunk of your vehicle at all times. Garbage should be promptly removed from your campsite and put in the appropriate trash receptacle.

Minimum Age – camping facilities and sites must be reserved by at least 1 person 18 years of age or older, who shall occupy and be responsible for the facility or site during the rental period.

Firewood – Firewood is not furnished at campsites or cabins, but can be purchased at the office during business hours.

Visitors are allowed at camping facilities between the hours of 8:00am – 8:00pm.

Quiet hours are observed between 10:00pm – 6:00am.

Driving Directions

From Interstate 80: Travel approximately 7 miles on Route 206 North through the towns of Byram and Andover, passing through a total of 6 traffic lights. After the sixth traffic light, travel about 0.5 mile, then turn right onto Goodale Road and follow it for about 1 mile. Turn right into the park entrance, and follow the winding driveway about 0.4 mile to the park office/visitor center to check in during office hours (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM). The group campground is across from the main park entrance on Goodale Rd. 

Pet Friendly Notes

Pets are not permitted in any camping facilities.
