Locally or Family-Owned Business Notes
On October 31, 1948 in Yonkers, New York, Peppe married Ann Citarella. Her father, Michael, had established the now famous Citarella’s Fish Market and Restaurant in New York City. In 1953, Peppe and Ann, with their young family moved to the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. A builder by trade, he constructed and operated several motels, hotels, and resorts in the area. Their growing family of five children all became of age in the hospitality industry.
In the early spring of 1980, the Farda family purchased a former steakhouse in East Stroudsburg, Pa. In four months it was transformed into the beginning of Peppe’s Ristorante, named after their father’s childhood nickname in Italy. Here Thomasso has been your host and the family representative for over thirty years. Through constant innovations and the dedication of Tom’s co-workers, Peppe’s has become one of the best italian restaurants in the Poconos.
Peppe's Bistro is all one level and the entire building including Skylanes Bowling Center is 100% wheelchair accessable. Disabled parking available.
