Riverside Creamery is an old-fashioned ice cream parlor, opened originally in 1950 under the ownership of Flo-Jean Restaurant. It ran as an ice cream shop until the Flood of ‘55. We opened Riverside Creamery in 1999 and restored it to the ice cream shop of 1950. The soda fountain is original to the shop, as well as the full bar which seats ten. The floors, paneling, and the mural painted in 1950 are all original.
We offer an extensive ice cream menu with many different and original desserts. Our menu also has a light lunch and snack offerings such as panini sandwiches, personal pizza, hot dogs, and french fries. our deep-fried ice cream is the best around and has become a signature item of Riverside Creamery.

Family and Kid-Friendly Dining Notes
We offer panini hot sandwiches, hot dogs, pizzas, quesadillas and of course a five-page sundae menu with 100s of sundae combinations. Milkshakes over 50 flavors from chocolate peanut butter to amaretto.
We seat 50 inside with table service and have outside table service or take out to the outside tables overlooking the Delaware River.
The Riverside Creamery models early 1950 decor with hardwood floors and chrome sweetheart chairs and a bar where you can watch your sundae being made. In store made cakes and pies and specialty desserts such as our deep-fried ice cream, tartofos, and bocci balls.

Jeff Penner, one of the owners has been a resident of Port Jervis all of his life. His partner for over 20 years grew up in Pine Bush NY and now resides in Port Jervis. Together, they reopened this ice cream shop in 1999, after it had been closed for a very long time. They try hard to keep the authentic look of Riverside Creamery. They employ local teens as the majority of our staff and use top quality products to create a large amount of in-house specialties.
They strive to serve local customers and visiting tourists to the area with excellent service and excellent products.
