The Sherman Theater is a 501c3 non-profit organization producing concerts, festivals and various other events. A 1217 seat venue and 1,800 standing capacity, the Sherman Theater's mission is to serve the community by providing quality, culturally-diverse entertainment from nationally-known professional acts that brings patrons to downtown Stroudsburg, creating a unique catalyst for economic development in the region.
Built in 1928, and grand opening in 1929 with the first act featured Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, the recently renovated Sherman Theater is equipped to present many of today’s biggest shows. Complete with 3 full bars and a concession stand, the Sherman Theater offers everything needed for a complete evening of entertainment. Audiences and performers alike have been awed by the sound, comfort, and historic feel of this incredible performance venue.

The Sherman Theater is responsible for the beautification of Main Street, caring for the flowers that grace the town.
Stroudfest every year is getting bigger and bigger bringing thousands to the front door of the vendors and stores on Main Street while listening the the sounds of local musicians playing for all to hear.
Summer Stage is a traveling event bringing big names to our area and visitors from all over to visit our County, shop in our stores, stay in our hotels and eat at our restaurants.
Nonprofits benefit from the Sherman's generosity, using donations of memberships and tickets to raise funds or host events for all to enjoy.
The Sherman Theater is handicap accessible and accommodates those with special needs with seating that is removable and unencumbered access to bathroom, bar and concession.
Employees are CPR AED trained and care about the community.
