A steep old road leads uphill through a mixed hardwood forest. It passes a former backwoods cabin, recognizable by the old dry-laid stone walls and the corners corners of what was once an old chimney and fireplace.
The route also features a miniature pine barren, complete with pitch pines, scrub oaks, and rocky outcroppings.
